Playa Saladita...

Once a sleepy little Mexican beach town, Playa Saladita is now known as a major surf destination. Its long left break, frequently compared to the break in Malibu, Ca, is perfect for beginners and experienced surfers alike. Excellent for long boards and SUPS, but short boarders can find their line as well. Saladita hosts surf competitions throughout the year, bringing people from all over the world to discover this magical little town. Yet despite all its popularity, the town still maintains its low-key, laid back vibe. We loved it so much we made it our home, and we think you will love it as well.

If the break here isn't enough to keep you busy there are many others just a short distance away. Troncones has a fantastic point break, a challenging beach break and a nice river mouth.
The Ranch and Palo Alto both have excellent River mouth breaks that can be world class when at their best. In addition there are other spots in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. Saladita is an excellent base to explore from and a perfect place to come back to.

Activities...

Dining/food: Playa La Saladita has a few beach enramadas to choose from. However, we suggest Restaurant Paco’s located right next door to Saladita Beachside Inn. They will deliver to our veranda and beach decks.
Also, our neighbor village of Troncones (accessible via car), offers numerous choices for lunch and dinner.

Surfing: Playa La Saladita is a left point reef break, featuring southern hemisphere swells. It is a
longboarder’s paradise, expert and novices alike. Surf sessions offer long rides up to 300 yards. Water temperature ranges from 80-85 degrees (F). It is consistent year round, with bigger overhead swells from mid-March to October. However, our heavy rainy season is August and September.

Surf Lessons: Saladita Surf School is located next to Saladita Beachside Inn. They provide detailed instructions and boards.

Board Rentals: Saladita Surf School, among other locations on the beach, offer many different options.

Surf, swim, SUP, charter a fishing boat or boat to other surf spots, eat delicious food, nap, relax, soak in the sun, chill on the hammock, take a walk on the beach, get a massage, or have a cup of coffee with us on the deck and visit.
